What services does uninked. offer?
uninked. offers two distinct specialist services: body art tattoo laser removal, and PMU laser removal (specifically for brows).
The same laser tattoo removal machine is used for both kinds of tattoo - it will target the pigment in both types using different light wavelengths.
BODY ART TATTOOS
We can remove most body art tattoos at Ink + Arch. This might be some old work which you now no longer love, and want to remove before replacing; or it could be old work where the pigment has faded or bled.
PMU (BROWS)
We can remove Permanent Makeup (PMU) at Ink + Arch, specifically brows. You may have had some microblading or ombre brow work done many years ago which you now want to remove before the PMU artist can replace with new work.
How does laser tattoo removal work?
Laser tattoo removal works on fundamental principles of light physics. The machine uses concentrated pulses of high-intensity light to break large tattoo ink particles in the skin down into tiny, microscopic fragments that your body can safely flush away.
The laser passes safely through the top layers of your skin without harming them, focusing its energy directly on the ink pigment trapped in the lower layer (the dermis).
The ink absorbs the rapid, ultra-short pulses of light, heats up intensely, and shatters into smaller pieces via a photomechanical shockwave effect.
White blood cells identify these tiny shattered ink particles as waste, absorbing them and carrying them away through your lymphatic system to be naturally eliminated from the body.
Because a tattoo contains thousands of dense ink layers, complete removal of body art may require a series of 6 to 15 treatments spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart to give your immune system time to clear the debris between sessions.
It's impossible to predict how many laser tattoo sessions you'll need for full removal. This varies depending on several factors, including the size, colour, depth, location, and age of the tattoo.
